Fragments of the Sea (Ongoing)
The sea is enigmatic, sublime, and awe-inspiring. She is home to thousands of species, which are shimmery in the sea. When human beings start tossing rubbish in the water, sadly, it is not that pure anymore. It is the garbage that we are looking at while gazing into the deep blue. Just like the imagery in front of us; they are fragments of the sea and marine debris.
Fish nets capture the fish, and then tangle the turtles; plastic floats in the ocean, and crams into the bodies of the creatures. It turns out that the sparkle in the sea is rubbish, is broken pieces of our own.
I take photographs of the rubbish I collect and make it resemble sea creatures. The garbage we toss into the sea never truly disappears; it returns with the waves again and again.
