The zoo is a place that often perplexes me. In the pursuit of entertainment, human beings have captured animals and put them on display. While some well-designed zoos serve conservation and educational purposes, working towards the preservation of endangered species, it is hard for me to overlook the sight of animals confined to small cages, deprived of their freedom.
